Most versions of wineo impact sound insulation are available in pre-cut mats. These are rolled out onto a ready-prepared subfloor. The material can be cut very easily with a conventional cutter knife. It is important that the substrate is even and clean. The individual strips are laid butt to butt.

Before the actual floor covering is laid on top, the unrolled strips should lie in the room for a whole day. This prevents the ends of wineo impact sound insulation from curling up. After 24 hours, the material has acclimatised, the tensions are gone and the installation work can begin.

Which floor coverings require impact sound insulation?

There should be wineo impact sound insulation under every laminate or parquet floor. However, impact sound insulation from wineo is also very advantageous underneath a vinyl floor. It gives the flooring excellent support, too.
