Great variety

There are numerous versions of this beautiful floor covering. These include oiled or varnished oak parquet planks. Special colour nuances can be achieved with a lacquer finish. For all lovers of the rustic style, the brushed wide planks are also suitable. Brushing enhances the naturally existing grain.

Oak plank parquet – special features

Oak plank parquet is a truly natural floor covering. The planks are sawn out of the trunks of oak trees. The typical characteristic of a plank is its width. Therefore, only a few planks of oak can be sawn out of each tree trunk. In addition, no two oak planks are alike - this is what makes them so attractive. The surface only needs to be brushed or planed. For sealing, the oak planks are either oiled or varnished.

Oak plank flooring installation and care

With oak plank parquet, even larger rooms can be laid very quickly. The length is preferably cut with a cross-cut saw. Cutting out space for heating pipes can be done very well with a jigsaw. Because the surface is oiled or lacquered, it is well protected against penetration by dirt. Cleaning is easy with a hoover. If stubborn dirt settles on the planks, it can be removed with a parquet cleaner. It doesn't matter at all whether it is a dark oak or a white oak plank parquet. After years of intensive use, the country house parquet oak can be sanded and oiled or lacquered again. Then it will look like new!
