Company founder Windmöller

The origins of the innovative flooring brand go back to the founding of Witex Kunststoffplatten GmbH in 1978 by Ulrich Windmöller at the Augustdorf site.

In 2010, Windmöller Holding GmbH was founded as a holding and service company of the Windmöller Group.

In 2012, Witex was acquired by Windmiller and the two companies were merged. The first PURLINE organic flooring was also introduced in that year. One year later, Windmöller Flooring Products GmbH was founded in Augustdorf.

The innovative strength of the two traditional companies is reflected in the new strong Wineo brand. Witex was one of the manufacturers that pioneered the production of laminate flooring from the very beginning in 1991. The Westphalian producer Windmöller from Augustdorf is considered a pioneer in vinyl flooring. The geographical proximity of the quality manufacturers was also a decisive argument for the merger of the giants.

Since 2013, the Wineo umbrella brand has specialised in the production and distribution of laminate, design, multilayer and organic flooring. Consumers in over 73 countries worldwide, including Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Iran, trust the impeccable quality of wineo brand flooring.
